Nick and Jay:
ReplyDeleteI like listening to your show BECAUSE you offer different opinions - keep up the good stuff, we appreciate it here in the UK!
Neil
Wow Nick! That was one of the most informative, disgustingly disturbing and hilarious metaphors i've ever heard. keep up the good work you guys. great show as always.

Global is good, but you ought to try Mac Knives: http://www.macknife.com
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the disclaimer Nick because I did have my kids in the car on our trip back to Virginia. Unfortunately it was after the metaphor was spewing forth and they were cackling madly with shocked looks on their faces. I think you and Jay are their favorite people now.
ReplyDeleteYou commented early in the show about the cafe in Rome that hides the baristi. Maybe it's to create that buffer zone you and Jay were talking about later in the show?

nick, this whole jerking off online theory of yours - posting online is masterbation for guys... what a bunch of bullshit.
ReplyDeletealthough you and jay jerk off a lot online, for me and i know a lot of others, its the real thing.
stop wasting time, take it seriously.
that goes for your podcast too.

some people might say cecilia bartoli is just a vocal masterbation...
ReplyDeletewhat a wash. but I really enjoyed a good part of the show. really.
the remaining three quarters could be done in a jackoff brainstorm before you hit the record button.
me again, 2:34am finally walking out the door listening to nick singing... its got to mean something.
ReplyDeleteI'm finally listening to this, and yea, I have to agree with Alistair - Nick, that was quite possibly the dumbest analogy I've heard on this show ;)
ReplyDelete"every post is basically him closing his eyes, leaning back, and just letting go..."
Some people (not necessarily myself) participate in online forums that way. There's a lot of thought and care put into posts made by many.
You threw down the "black and white" thing to me a while back, but dude, you really made this black and white - not everyone justs posts first, and thinks later ;)
I love this article.
